Hi friends! Another interesting Japanese Brand beauty product. It's the Pore Putty BB Mineral Powder (",) by KEANA PATE SHOKUNIN.
For the past months, I am on a search of a powder type of foundation and BB Cream. I remember the days where liquid foundations and BB creams are not yet popular. Most of the makeup artist that do my makeup uses that Cake Foundation. Even the popular celebrity makeup artist that I've seen on television (Fanny Serano and Ricky Reyes). By the way they are a very well-known Philippine Celebrity makeup artist. When I came to Japan I was introduced and got more exposed to the liquid type. Although I believe until now cake foundation/powder foundation is still being used and popular in the Philippines maybe it's because it suits the weather there which is hot and humid. You need to have a powder in order for your makeup not to melt and last all day. And also it's way cheaper and last you a long time.
If you are in the Oilier Side of the planet, it would be heaven if you have a foundation and powder in one, that not only covers your imperfection but also makes you save time since it's both powder and foundation. Right now, I am in that mission where I want to lessen or minimize my time that I spend doing my makeup.
I've heard about that Mineral Foundation thing but I didn't tried it. One, it's only sold online in japan. I have poor accessibility on it. Two, I don't like my foundation purchased online. I want to try and see in the flesh if the color match with my skin. I don't want to throw it away and waste money.
So yeah, when I went to the store and saw the Pore Putty BB Mineral Powder, since I love BB Creams more than foundation so I opt to buy this powder. I've tried their pore eraser primer thing before but end up didn't liking it. But still, that didn't stop me from buying this powder. The picture from the packaging was just so tempting...haha...it literally erased the pore on the girl's face :D Blaming it to the packaging...hahaha
So I went and buy it and tried it and I have been using this for more than two (2) months now. I've worn this on the hot and humid weather in the Philippines and so far it's a pretty decent product. It lasted up to the time that I am going to remove my makeup. It's so light weight and did not made my face looked Cakey. That's a one big plus. Cover wise, it's light to medium coverage. And about that pore-covering claim, hmmm, it did cover my pores but this also depends on how are you going to apply the product. If you're just going to buff it with a brush, surely you won't cover much of that pore girl. By patting it to the face using a sponge or the applicator that comes with it gives you that No-Pore Result. It also gives me that slight dewy soft look not matte and flat. Interesting right? ^_^ considering that it is a powder. And what's wonderful also is that this powder has an SPF35 PA+++. Need to block you my sunny friend...hehe...
In cold weather places, I find to have the same effect. And at the end of the day, pores are much less visible compared to a humid and hot weather place. Face stays and looks like from the first application. Love it so much!
You will notice on my photo that I took at the end of the night that my pores are starting to peek through. By the way, I did not do any retouch or blotting on my face. This was just as is from the moment that I put on my powder. So, that's how it looks like without any retouch. Pretty darn good right and impressive.
FYI...I don't have blemishes to cover just redness and unevenness ^_^ So, I don't exactly know how this powder is going to look like if you are having blemishes and acne. My main purpose really why I bought this powder is to cover my pores since it is what it is marketed and claimed for. But you can use a concealer prior to the powder application to conceal blemishes.
So, my final thoughts or verdict on this powder? I really like it. It's worth the prize. It lives to it's claim that it will cover your pores (with the right application of course). Surely I will purchase this powder again and definitely I recommend it.
The only downside I would say that this only comes in one (1) shade. Not a surprise, since most of the BB Creams do.
